Baird is a CM isn't he? Taarabt tore him apart at LR last season.

Cole is actually quite handy if used properly . At that level could be a shrewd buy

Baird is a massive upgrade on traore at left back and has been a regular in the premier league for many seasons. I know he's older but he's always looked solid enough and judging him on Adel ripping him up last season is a bit harsh lets be fair it was probably Adels best performance of the season. The way we have been chasing a new left back makes me wonder how bad the korean lad could be or does Harry feel we need some top level expierience in the defence. As for cole if things go as they look like they will and Remy goes along with Dj and Bothroyd it'd be pretty scary going into another season with Zamora and Johnson as our main strikers. In my opinion adding to that another injury prone striker would be as disasterous as Hughes going into last season with 3 over 30 injury prone forwards.

Can't see any reference to Baird being a left back. Seems he's a CB, CM, RB according to various sources on the net.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Yeh don't know why i thought he was a left back so now it makes me wonder if the Simpson deal isn't as cut and dry as many on here think it is.

Not the kind of players we should be signing and I definitely don't think we will.

Would get the thumbs up from me.

Carlton Cole is a massive improvement on Bobby the mule.

He's not the best but has more than enough to bang a few goals in and with a decent finisher alongside him would be a very useful partnership.

Wouldn't want too long a contract though, and would be good to have some sort of win bonus incentive with lower basic salary. Not likely but what we should be looking at doing with these players near the end of their careers.

I thought Cole caused us quite a few problems in the first half when they beat us at home.

Pretty sure most Fulham fans had a decent opinion of Baird
