Mbia is a defensive midfield player who can play centre back, he built his reputation on those two positions and is more than decent if played in his best position in a balanced team. Do you honestly think scouts from various top teams including Arsenal, Chelsea and even United would have kept watching him if he was a bad as some on here suggests. He is not a box to box midfield player and that was the problem last year when we tried to play him as that last year.

Saying he puts 110% in rather than 100% is just being pedantic and wages are irrelevant, £20/£25k a week surely that is still stealing a living when he has limited ability and poor decision making. Mbia never played in the championship so you can't hold that against him!

Back to Mbia, he's got one year left on his contract so he either
a) stays for the final year
b) signs a new longer term contract with substantially lower wages
c) we sell him.

I had no issue with Mbia personally. He worked his nuts off and was a lot better than many make out.

This is it, people think because a player is physically fit and keeps running for 90 mins in the PL they must have something about them. Mbia is has nothing to offer our club whatever the division we are in, move him on and fast.

The theatrics from him rolling around against spurs was an embarrassment to this club.

Totally agree. Bit like those who worship Mackie because be gees up the crowd another **** PL player but the fans love him. Personally I'd rather a right ignorant b@stard who can just play football to a half decent standard. Not a lot to ask. Seems people have different views when wanting certain players for our club.

You know what Shania? i still feel so angry at the current bunch of ******s we have in our squad. To put fans through that embarrassing season, the not trying, the disrupted dressing room rumours, the absence of effort and commitment, the tweets and the other stuff that has gone on in the background. Normally round about this time i have got over a poor season and started to look forward to the next but this current lot of players...i detest them. I honestly do. Apart from Remy/Derry/Hill/Mackie/Green/Ned and maybe Hoilett/Adel/Jenas i want the rest gone and never wear the shirt again. The others will never get any respect from me because they are losers and quitters and through panic buying and "name" buying we have brought these scumbags to our club and are now saddled with them. Leeches the lot of them. When i think back to the title winning year and the camaraderie and spirit the players showed it makes it all the more telling that we have too many brainless spineless no-hopers in the squad that will drag us down unless we manage by some miracle to find someone mug enough to take them off our hands.

Nothing against Mbia but I don't think he was particularly good, he had poor positional discipline, poor passing and tackling, his shots only troubled passing helicopters etc but a couple of kind words he man marked Dembele out the game in Jan and you could make similar criticisms of the whole team so it is not just him.

Anyway, if the club replaced Mbia with Scott Parker the contrast would be like comparing Mackie with Remy.
