I said at the time we would miss him. He sure as hell held that midfield together last season.

I just can't see him playing again though for some reason.

Well it's like I say I don't see him coming back to QPR. You are right he is on way too much money like the rest of them so I hope the french come up with some cash.

Absolutely, and toes as well.......think Joey, despite all the baggage he brings, is what the team have been missing this season.

Whether he wants to play for us or not, he always gives 100% and is a leader, I'd certainly be happy to have him back.

                  a midfield of

                  swp barton furlian/diakite tarrabt

would be well chuffed with that as long as diakite has his head screwed on.

the few french people i know have been telling me that all is not as rosy at marseille for him as barton's been making out, but i'm not so sure.

i'd still be surprised if he ended up back at ours. if he really doesn't care about the money like he claims, then surely the possibility of champions league with marseille would make him do whatever it takes to make a permanent move happen - he's not going to find a british champions league club that would touch him with a bargepole.

wonder if this is all down to marseille trying to get barton on the cheap (or on a free) and us trying to hawk him around clubs in europe to see if we can get a decent fee for him.

Can't disagree with that in all fairness.

he said that he's R's career was over long before that City game, but said after that game something like" it's not important what happens to me,most important thing is that we are safe" Doesn't sound like a player who is thinking his career is finished at R's. Few months at Marseille and says he love's L'OM and etc,but if he comes back i'm sure he will care about us and much more than few current players.

One of many problems attached to a potential QPR comeback from Barton is his tendency to find himself being sent off. Hence, if he returns to the club, HR has to ensure he has a cover for him.

                                Just tweeted

@Joey7Barton: I'll just re-iterate for a lot of the buffoons tweeting me. I WILL NOT BE PLAYING IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP NEXT SEASON. Hope that clears that up!

                                He can do one imo
