    Fernandes Interview

Apologies if already been posted but a fairly decent interview with Fernandes on the Daily Mail website. Some interesting comments in there:

When Tony Fernandes bought Queens Park Rangers in August 2011, he wanted to turn the club into one of the biggest in the Premier League.

It's obvious I suppose but he;s right......"Problems in the dressing room start when you don’t win."

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

This interview's excellent, too. Wish he had sacked Hughes after Swabsea.....

QPR's chairman Tony Fernandes tells David Hytner he is bruised after their relegation season and admits he wondered about sacking Mark Hughes after first game

Only 60% of the squad are on relegation reduced salaries? That's.. worrying.

In a funny way that's good mate as prior to hearing that the media had sold the story that NO ONE had release clauses

I must say im very pleased with what I am hearing from Fernandes since we have gone down. It does really appear that the penny has dropped and he has worked out he has been taken advantage of by all. We may have taken a step back in relegation but if he/we as a club have learned from the mistakes we will most definitely be a stronger club going forth.

With regards Barton pleased to also hear we will not be entertaining paying his contract up therefore Joey you stay and play or you drop your wage demands and sign on else where as QPR is no longer the meal ticket for others in the game of Football

Only if we don't come straight back up. I might be wrong, but as I understand it, the parachute payments this year cover the money that would be made being in the PL for 1 more season? It's if we get stuck in this league and we can't sell the players we may end up in abit of a Branston.

There will be a big difference between identifying who you want to sell and actually selling them?

‘I sat down with Harry and went through each player. We had said to each other, “This is going to be tough”. But when we went through it player by player we said, “Actually, it’s not that difficult if we want to let these players go”. Football does not revolve around England. There is a market for many of these players in many different parts of the world.’

Which players is he talking about?

I agree... just hope they get rid of the players Harry didn't want.

If Harry had his choice he would get rid of nearly all of them i am sure. Said yesterday that the team as it stands now would be relegated next season in the championship and i agree.
