There was that diego forlan at united - good player who did not work out there. But he was loved by the crowd. Because although he just couldn't score or even do any of his stuff right he showed a great attitude. His own game wasn't working but he busted a gut to make himself useful to the team. Tackling, challenging for headers, tracking back, all that. If Granero had shown some of that fight this season he might have been more useful. In the end Jenas was better which says it all really.

Granero will be no great loss.
Whether or not, he goes on to be a star player in ANY top league, let alone the premiership with another club, remains to be seen, personally, I have my doubts.

He is a good player and has shown that in some games. The problem has mostly been down to a divided squad and poor run of form from them. He will be a good signing for his next club if it is a team like Southampton or Swansea.

If he goes to Southampton or to a lesser degree Swansea, he could be involved in another relegation battle next season. He has clearly showed that this is not something he relishes, so I can't see him doing any better there than here.

I don't think he figures in HRs plans. He played him last weekend but think that was to show that he is still around for transfer to another club.

I dont think his style of play suits ANY premier league club. He is technical, tactical and sh!ts himself when it comes to contact, blood & sweat. Better off back in spain.
