Our fans need to stop deluding themselves that we have a bottomless pit of money and will never have to account for anything. We don't know who is paying the bills as we have spent the PL money on transfers and wages and we have some backers that could easily lose interest in 2 seasons as we are not a PL club which is what they almost certainly want..

We got mugged off if the clause is £8m. With his form at the moment he's worth at least £12-15m easy.

It was a good risk to take. I said it at time we'd defiantly get 8million or more back for him. If we go down & the deal is he has a 8million get out clause then fine. But we lost NOTHING signing unlike what some mugs were saying ( no one on this MB ) Same with Samba. We could get the money back for him no problem. Especially if you bear in mind a week after we signed Samba a Russian club offered more then 12.5 million. Our owners aren't stupid
