I would go along with that Chris.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

then everyone would boo you and QBP would hound you out of your job for playing 'defensive' with 'one up front'.

Couldn't agree more. He can tackle, get up and down, cross, close down etc..
I'd say the same about Leigertwood.
Rowlands might be seen as a bit short for many managers who like a tall back 4, but his mobility and work-rate would be a real asset there.

But right now, neither of them would be a starter in my midfield, barring injuries to a couple of others.

That's 2 defenders recognised defenders in a starting 11. Bit ambitious.

I don't think 3 at the back would work for us, mianly cuase it would be that Routledge and Taraabt would have to track back constantly and I don't think that's eithers strong point.

Whats all the hype about watson, another player that we look like signing who is not wanted by his present club(6 appearances since january for 2million) when will we ever buy a player that we have to haggle for. Same old same old bring in players that are virtually unemployed like the managers we've had of late:
