Yes but what he CAN control is appointing the right people to do the right job, and appointing Beard as full-time CEO, a man with zero credentials or experience in FOOTBALL or running a FOOTBALL club has proven to be an unmitigated disaster and that decision was 100% down to TF and his shareholders - no one else. A decision that has been a massively expensive mistake and has highlighted gross naivety and inexperience.Comment

Why has Beard been an unmitigated disaster? In what way has his appointment been (unreasonably) expensive?Yes but what he CAN control is appointing the right people to do the right job, and appointing Beard as full-time CEO, a man with zero credentials or experience in FOOTBALL or running a FOOTBALL club has proven to be an unmitigated disaster and that decision was 100% down to TF and his shareholders - no one else. For the reasons I just gave: "Zero credentials or experience in FOOTBALL or running a FOOTBALL club", so to be given a job in such a position was simply a disaster waiting to happen. At the bare minimum he should have had someone working alongside him WITH the necessary experience and credentials.Comment

Most of the answers are just in this thread alone. It really doesn't need spelling out all over again.
In a nutshell, incredible naivety, lack of nous and experience when it comes to dealing with contracts, signings, agents, players, managers etc etc. But you can't blame Beard for accepting a job offer which he was completely under-qualified for. The Championship is a totally different kettle of fish too, so he'll be even more need of experienced help if we go down.Comment

After the 2 seasons we have just had how can you ask? Or do you insist its all that nasty Mark Hughes's fault that our club is a complete laughing stock. Still blame Fernandes for even appointing Beard in the first place. If he knew he was going to be halfway round the world taking care of Air Asia business a lot then he should have got someone a little more qualified and clued up than Beard.Comment

is our club a laughing stock...I think only in your mind.....I know fans of various teams..arsenal, spurs, wham, toon and even chels.
none of them are laughing, they think we are a good team who had bad luck and are near future challengers. sorry but I think your
views on TF are ridiculous. as for you seeing other fans laughing, ever thought they might not be laughing at QPRComment

Must admit i think alot of the hatred from other teams fans towards us is the fact they know if we get it right here they'll be trailing in our wake. Talking about Newcastle, Stoke, WBA, etc.....Not Man U, City, Scum.
Think TF has done all he could do and was right to keep Hughes for as long as he did, because the investment and trust put into him mean't we just had to...just my opinion
I know this sounds ridiculous where we are right nowLast edited by QPRDave; 19-03-2013, 09:04 PM.Comment

where do you live? on the moon? or up north? we have assembled a team of mercenaries on inflated wages who havent bothered to turn up for most of the season. Bottom of the league with only 4 wins all season (14 wins in total from last 68!). I see fans from other clubs every day in my job and they all know i support rangers, the most common reaction is for them to just laugh at us because we have doubled or trebled our wage bill for a team of poor players. A wage bill that we cant sustain unless backed by someone such as Fernandes who seems to enjoy ****ing other peoples money up a wall. Norwich and Swansea have done it the right way where we are a prime example on how not to do it. All in all i am ****ing embarrassed to support such a team of losers. Cant wait till the current crop of lazy layabouts are gone. Keep 4 or 5 but lets ship out the sh1t if we can find any mugs to take them.Last edited by vblockranger; 19-03-2013, 09:31 PM.Comment
