On the league forum Forest fans are basically saying what most Rangers fans say, headless chicken, been on the subs bench of lateI must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

"Of late" = "last match", and even then he still came on. He started both matches right before that and has played in every single league match this season.Originally posted by lymehoop View PostOn the league forum Forest fans are basically saying what most Rangers fans say, headless chicken, been on the subs bench of late'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. don't like to coat of ex-players but I'd rather take note of Forest fans who attend matches rather than some Canadian who relies on statsOriginally posted by dsqpr View Post"Of late" = "last match", and even then he still came on. I saw Jamie Mackie play for us 3 times live and many more times on TV. Sounds like you don't go to many matches. How many times did you see him play for us live?Originally posted by lymehoop View Postdon't like to coat of ex-players but I'd rather take note of Forest fans who attend matches rather than some Canadian who relies on stats
But my post was not about anybody's opinion of how well he is playing, it was about your patently incorrect assertion that he is "warming his #### on the bench at Forest". The fact is he has played 11 out of 11 league matches and has started two of the last three and THAT is a STAT that can be verified without watching the matches!

I think our affinity with him grew because he stood head and shoulders above everyone in terms of effort and attempts to galvanise the others on the pitch. Basically if any fan somehow got into the team, they'd play like Mackie. Heart on sleeve etc.
But there is no way he would be anywhere near our starting XI now, but he is a regular at one of our main rivals. Says it all really.

Well, you certainly ended on a high note!Originally posted by lymehoop View Posthave'nt been since 1967 cup final, too cosy in my armchair to move my arris to get to Loftus Road
By the way, although I live in Canada I am half English and I lived in England from age 3-21. I've seen QPR play live many times and was one of the 35,353. So, I take offence at "some Canadian..." (but I won't hold a grudge!).

One goal in ten and you are holding that up as some kind of achievement? I read a Forest forum and one of the more intelligent posters said "he doesn't appear to be the 20-goal-a-season striker we were promised." You felt like posting back "no sh*t, Sherlock." One of those permanently frustrating players, not clinical enough to be a striker and not skillful enough to be a winger. Be surprised if he is still starting for Forest in Jan. And if he is wd be even more surprised if they are challenging for promotion. Harsh to say but we improved massively when he broke his leg and we brought in Routledge. Top block, average player.Originally posted by dsqpr View PostI love it when people post rubbish on here.
Forest have played 11 league matches and Jamie Mackie has played in every single one of them (doesn't say how many he started but he played 90 mins in 2 of the last 3 and came on as a sub against Brighton).
He has one goal and two assists and, by the way, Forest seem to be doing quite well with him in the team.

I'm not holding anything up as anything. I'm merely pointing out that the statement that his is warming his #### on the bench at Forest is incorrect. The FACT is that he has played in 11 out of 11 league matches. And with Jamie Mackie in the team, Forest have 22 points from 11 matches, which is on target for 92 points at season end. That is a FACT. Your surprise or lack thereof is immaterial.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostOne goal in ten and you are holding that up as some kind of achievement?
