He was very average and not too bothered about him going ...
What concerns me though is who is going to replace these players ... No hooper and players like Karl Henry coming in..
Doesn't instil me with confidence..
I believe Townsend and maybe Austin is a must

The difference is Matty your work ethics are getting into the site canteen before the bacon runs out and harassing the pretty site agent and trying to get into her undergrowth !Originally posted by MattyRangers View PostSo he gets praised for it whilst I get hauled through the courts, given 100 hours community service and banned from being within 500 yards of Sarah from Accounts?
Yet another example of how there's seemingly 1 rule for footballers and another for us averages joes.

Like Adel had one great season and his reputation has been cemented on that alone.Originally posted by HammersmithR View PostSee my post on other thread. Not bothered at all. Guy has reached the peak in his career. The 6 months in our promotion season was the best he was ever going to be. Limited footballer who didn't offer much to the side. Good business by the club.
If memory serves me right in our promotion season he was on fire first few months but at the business end he was not existent and never chipped in with any goals

I think there'll be some words eaten on this forum regarding JMOriginally posted by knocker View PostNice guy, great work ethnic but absolutely no ability whats so ever. Can anyone say that if we could get Townsend it wouldn't be an improvement. Or Mcanuf or any half decent wide player. Thanks Jamie and all the best unless your playing against us.

Forest had been working on these deal for several weeks. There were several rumours about it but since it was not a high profile transfer like Hooper, nobody really commented on it. Whether you think these are good deals or not, we completed the transfers of Simpson, Dunne and Henry with very little fanfare. If you are going after a high profile transfer then it will always drag on and you might not get what you want in the end. Just look at the Rooney saga, that looks likely to run until the end of the transfer window.Originally posted by D3nisBail3ySliP View PostWill miss his passion, but limited ability overall. Does annoy me however forest can get a deal tied up within a day, whilst QPR take an entire pre-season.

Limited player, but good and useful at championship level. Not to mention the fact he ran himself into the ground for this club.
He will get goals for forest, and I guarantee he will score against us.

Have you ever heard of a player signing for a club and not saying that?? Simpson/Henry said one of the reasons they signed for QPR was the ambition and desire to get back to the PL at the first attempt!
You hardly would expect Mackie to say he was attracted to Forest cause of the Hooters in Nottingham?!
