If we're widening the thread's scope to Jazz/Rock then those are excellent choices Blobbers. Return To Forever were a 'supergroup' made up of some of the world's finest musicians: Chick Corea (keyboards), Lenny White (drums), Al Di Meola (guitars), Stanley Clarke (bass).

Love Paul Rogers Blobs. Free's Fire and Water formed part of the soundtrack to my youth. But there's just something about the tone of Coverdale's larynx that does it for me. It's all personal taste obviously :-)
