    bit of a cockney knees up

    Cant speak for you native West Londoners , but coming originally from South London out of East London stock, we all grew up with musical /cockney tunes ,sort of thing Chas n Dave covered ,bless them ..
    Love this , reminds me of family ,past on .. the whelk stall at the Goat in Mitcham ,my Nans privit and my old Man,god rest hes soul...

    Weird seeing the Goat mentioned. Haven't been there for years but went past there today to get the tram.

      Me mums an old eastender vesps and grew up on old tunes like that. Always singing Jerusalem as littluns, love a bit of chas and Dave me self .

        Thing is Van ,weve got precious little culture to fall back on ,and if we dont keep it up ,no other f ucker will ,trust me ,in 50 year time there wont be cockney history month like there is black history month now

        Our whole culture is going the same way as our accent , extinct

            sometimes its nice to re call i remember as a 20 year old mini cab driver in soho i was obsessed with cockney ism and as i was so good looking and called david essex by everyone
            i used to get called a cockney by everyone
            it was lovely really lovely but those cockney women were far too fond of there knickers i quickly learnt thsat a can going to east london was going to be a fairly sexless experice where as a ride west wards meant i would get raped on the way home

                I played sunday league football today.

                Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

                I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

                We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
