Certainly overrated by England managers though, it seems.

would take him to the euros as he is versatile and a solid performer, but no where near the starting 11. Simply does'nt ever do enough to effect a game.

Not sure he is actually "rated" though is he?

He is a very steady and reliable pro that can do a number of jobs. A real "managers players". Will never set the world alight scoring screamers or going on mazy runs, but he is a good established top end PL player IMO.
