Do you think JS threw Smith on to show Nourry how far off the pace our young squad is?

Am I just trying to find some logic to it all when there isnt any?

Lucas Andersen is still a free agent. Im not saying hes the answer but there must be some free agents out there who can add some experience to get us over the line. i wouldnt be suprised to see a couple freebies signed over the next week or so.

I think the young lads have been blooded enough this season, and if they dont take a back seat now it could badly effect their future careers.

Play Cook, put Edwards in defensive midfield and sign a few more older heads to the end of the season to get another two to three wins. If nothing else, the dressing room could do with some fresh personalities.

Its gone t1t$ up since we folded in the last five minutes of the Wrexham game.

I think you are not far from the truth with you assessment regarding Smith/Nourry. Warburton did much of the same, but he was sacked.

Why is Cook not playing? No way I see we would have conceded 11 goals in 3 games had he been. Think Nourry is playing a part in the team selection process, playing young players who are out of their depth instead of likes of Cook and Field is no way to develop players.

I think the reason Cook isnt playing is because he is only 3 games away from triggering a new 12 month contract. He's played 27 times and 30 games gets him a new deal. So the club are hoping or refusing to let him get to number 30! Personally I think he's been our best defender and his standards and professionalism are miles above everyone else at the club. I'd love to know exactly what he thinks of it all..

It's gone #### up since Pompey and WBA away and Norwich at home around christmas time. Lets face it we have been poor away from home all season bar maybe Wrexham away. We have looked a good side in a lot of the home games which tells me that the majority of the time it's down to the players attitude.
Personally though the club needs a whole new re-set . Hoos and , Nourry have to go along with Ben Williams , Steve Bould , Julien Stephan etc etc.
Get somebody in to run the club for the owners that has experience of the championship , like Warnock , Warburton or similar .
Football is such a simple game as Boro showed today , work hard , pass to your own players and move about a lot , Boro the best team in this division , with no superstars just decent hardworking and organised players.

A sobering experience I feel. Very much the expected outcome. Clearly we are going nowhere. Julien seems to be a lovely chap but clearly doesn’t have what it takes to manage in The Championship. Whether Christian should carry the overall can is debatable.
Whoever pulls the strings at this club, in my opinion, needs to be gone.

Cook is rumoured to be on £30k a week. We extended Dunne's contract and brought in Edwards so I doubt there's the budget for him next season.

Yes understand the financial argument that Nourry keeps referring to but replacing Cook and Field next season and replacing them with cheaper alternatives is not going to cut it in Championship in my opinion and is only going to end in tears next season. On a positive spin, perhaps we will have more success developing players to be sold to the Championship teams to be a self sustaining League One team
