With our injury record and the festive fixture list, it will probably be steady as you go during the first half and upping the pace in the second half.

I dont have confidence in the durability of this squad to press from the get-go. There's enough to suggest this is a tactic from Marti. If we went for it for 90mins then it will likely show in more injuries by the end of these Xmas/NY fixtures.

Well we can't be putting in 45min "no shows" and expect to keep getting away with it. It's the first of the 4 Xmas games, 4 games that can set our direction of travel for 2025. Given that the following 2 games are away it'd be pretty handy to put in a solid, dominant and front-foot performance against Preston. Can't take them lightly, they know the Championship inside-out and can give anyone a stern test BUT... we really ought to be grabbing 3pts.
