We were 6pts clear of 7th placed team with a game in hand at end of Jan. Today we're 3pts clear having played a game more. So, a potential 9pt cushion reduced to us being potentially outside the playoffs after this weekend's round of fixtures. Yeah, still in our hands but it feels like we're clinging onto sand swiftly falling between our fingers.

I am not saying we won't drop out of the top 6, just that if the players and manager really want it then they will need to massively improve on their form in February. They didn't get the attacker they needed in the window so now have to step up and perhaps give our U23 attackers a chance if the 1st team strikers cannot deliver.

I also think that Sheff Utd are best placed to win a P/O place, as well as Middlesboro, but there is no reason why Blackburn, Huddersfield, Luton or Forest and Stoke or Millwall. WBA should beat us into the top 6.
