Chances are you are probably right of course but MW was ‘daft’ enough to play him in January when Steff openly admits in his recent interview that he “ hadn’t played any football for Fulham in 2 or 3 months “

I think it’s reasonable to believe that Fulham have provided Steff with a number of pre-season fitness sessions before their new manager made his decision to sell him.

Steff looks a naturally fit player and I’m sure Dozzell will be doing most of the running for him over 60mins ‘if’ he does play on Saturday.

Warburton was a desperate man clinging to his job in January. He probably feels a bit more secure today and is very unlikely to make such a reckless decision with Stef. Anyway, the mere fact Stef was not involved in any of our friendlies clearly suggests he's not ready. I'd assume that as well as missing LCFC game he also missed some training over this period too - whatever way you cut the cake Stef has not had the proper preparation and shouldn't be starting.
Anyway, so what? We have at least 48 games over 9 months coming up, the games come thick and fast so there's every opportunity to ease Stef in to starting XI via subs bench and Caraboa Cup. The best part is I think we have the quality and depth to not actually need to chuck Stef in at 3pm on Saturday.

I can’t wait for this season to start now after a really positive pre season I think our boys will be well up for Millwall and can see that there is something special happening at QPR.

I am so glad we stuck with Warburton. He came in with a particular style of play and regardless who he inherited he stuck to his ways. When he first came in we didn’t have the players that could play the attractive football he wanted to play now after he has had a few transfer windows to get the players in he wants we can see it’s all coming together.

Dozzell looks a really exciting prospect, I’m not getting carried away as I’ve only seen him in friendlies but he completely dictated play against a strong Leicester side. On top of that the signings we have made are fantastic so praise the board for getting these deals over the line in plenty of time for the team to gel.

I think we could be looking at a play off push, I really don’t think we will be involved in a relegation scrap for a long time which shows how much we have come
on in the past 2-3 years. The final bit of the jigsaw for me would be a young premier league striker on loan to support Austin & Dykes.

it’s going to be exciting, there will be highs and maybe some lows we just have to make sure we stick together and, as we always do, keep showing that support to our boys.

If he was a desperate man in Jan, I hope all fans will recognise it just shows the value of patience. Even if we rip the league up I guarantee we will have a dodgy streak, its the Rangers way. I really hope this time ALL our fans show even more support when we are struggling because that's when Warbs and the boys will need it. My only concern about all this positivity is if for example we don't quite get the win at home to Millwall, will fans get suicidal ("how come Warburton can't get us a 5-0 win when the board have given him a team better than Barcelona", etc). The season is a long old marathon in a very even division. I'm also hugely excited this season but we still don't know how tight the defence will prove and we also should remember that, however brilliantly we did in the second half of last season, most of our victories were very tight. I'm quietly confident but just hope fans don't get carried away so when we do lose we don't react like a bunch of sour, rioting Trump fanatics.

Going by that, it would be amazing to get to the playoffs. Beating teams with a higher valuation than us would be wonders.

the spirit this sides got and togetherness is a breath of fresh air. We look good in pre season as well as since January not many side got more points than us. Buckle up we’re in for a ride this season

This says the only player of note to leave is Tom Carroll. Not being funny but he didn’t feature in the side in the successful 2021 part of last season. So no great loss at all. I am more disappointed in seeing Bonne go out on loan and even the inconsistent Kane.

Both Kane and Bonne are not up to the level we require if we really want to have a go this season. They are technically not good enough. Kane had his moments, a few good crosses but overall this performances were pretty poor. Bonne scored a couple of decisive goals and his work rate was always there but he’s just not good enough for a top half team in my opinion.

I do agree that we need a replacement for Bonne. A young, exciting prospect on loan from the prem would be a good move

STEFAN Johansen has been named as QPR’s new club captain ahead of the start of the 2021/22 Sky Bet Championship season.
R’s boss Mark Warburton told us: “We are very fortunate to have four senior pros in the squad in Stefan Johansen, Lee Wallace, Charlie Austin and Albert Adomah – and in Stefan and Lee we have two players who have captained their clubs and their countries before.

“I am delighted to have Stef as my captain and he will be ably-assisted by Lee as vice-captain, while Charlie and Albert have an important role
