Had one decent moment that brought an excellent save from the Gronigen keeper, but is overall play is poor.

Was hoping for some improvement from him but from what you describe, same as last season comes to mind.

It's 1 pre season friendly, you've taken a quick look at him and decided he's gonna be shite all season.

Lost 3-1. Could be four or five! JFH put too many youngsters in and it showed. JET took his goal well and Shodipo looks dangerous when he came in. Caulker did well at the back, however as I said earlier, the fullbacks were lost. With Perch and Bidwell in the side, we will be much better. Funny how the only win in four games in this tour came against PSV!!

But that's the point of a pre season tour isn't it? To give everyone a run out? Always said this, results don't matter a jot in pre season, especially this early on, it's all about fitness and getting playing time ahead of the new season.

true, but if 3 or 4 of those on show are anywhere near the ist team, its going to be a real struggle this season.

During the season JFH said that 'you couldn't put too many youngsters in the first at the same time.' I know this was only a friendly, however, we did not really expect to get a result with all this youngsters in the team. Agree, results are not that important at this stage. However, it goes to show that we are a bit light in our squad.

What happened to Petrasso? Good to hear Shodipo kept up his good form.

                                On the youngsters:

Petrasso - Impressive display before going off injured I thought.
Furlong - Exposed once or twice but decent overall.
Kpekawa - Gave away possession quite often. Poor header inside the box, always direct it either side of the sticks not inbetween. Clint gave him a chewing out on a few occasions last season for risky headers inside his own box.
Shodipo - Very promising. Pace and energy with a trick up his sleeve. Bright future with us.
