    Quality!
"Imagine a relationship that went wrong but you held on in there for years: that's what it is like supporting a football team. Your loyalty to a team can never die. Ties are stronger than they could ever be with a woman. If she goes and sleeps with your best mate, it's over. If the Rs' boss, Ian Holloway, slept with my best mate, QPR would still be my team. Even if many of the things that you loved about going to matches have gone - terraces, team shirts without sponsors and being able to smoke at grounds - you still stick with your team." - Peter Doherty.

Hardly dire, not as good as liverpool game but still miles better than what we've seen.

Not a bad result to take into the Chelsea game
I should probably write something insightful here

Dire maybe too harsh, but it was noticeably nervy, from a lot of players. So many simple passes being wasted under little pressure. Villa were so poor, we didn't get punished where we have been earlier in the season.

Vital 3 points, but there is still lots of work to do. The next two games may be almost written off because of the opponents, but we need to keep the improvements in effort and application going.

Excellent result, no two ways about that. It's very heartening to see us see a game out comfortably. Long long time since we've done that.

Ive now made a point of not going on this thread during the game for that exact reason, so much p00 talk!!

Passing wasnt convincing but got a lot better as the game went on. Thought the formation/starting 11/subs were spot on by Harry. We seem to have that passion that was missing before. So if we can just work on some basics in training think we'll be fine.

                    Very nice.

Vargas was great today. His off the ball pressing is very good and he seems to be able to turn half chances into something more. I'd keep him and Isla on the right flank from now on.

Same here mate. Plus they've already got a good understanding of each other.

Bobby is making the biggest difference.

Quite right, Bobby needs to play.

Decent performance tonight but I did think Villa deserved something. We still need to play better and put more pressure on the other team when they have the ball, particularly in their half.

Makes up for Liverpool I suppose.

A good analysis, the 3 points were huge, there is a long road ahead though!

Just looking at the gif for the second goal, austin was absolutely rapid and focussed on moving in for that ball. Quite incredible pace
