Game lost in first 10 minutes, pathetic defending and goalkeeping, today just confirmed all the shortcomings this team show, Varane and Bennie had shockers as did the fullbacks especially in the first half, upfront we had nothing, Smyth caused them more problems in his first 10 minutes than the rest put together.

Great atmosphere from Rangers fans with plenty of humour, fair play to Ipswich who deserved to go up, they could not have wished for softer opponents.

Perhaps rather naively, I still hope that the bond between The Club and its’ wonderful supporters is something not taken lightly by The Club. But season by season it seems less and less the case.
This was a weak Championship this season and we did not excel.
I tire of The Club’s lack of ambition and hope, perhaps naively again for the penny to drop.

At some point id like to see the ambition it showed under both Warnock and Venables of attacking great to watch football

I’d rather a British manager that knows how tough the championship is and what it takes to fire the bellies of players up rather than the soft touch we’ve become

I just hope I don’t have to watch the totally inept mbengue play for us again, I know he’s a cb but fk me he can’t pass a ball 10ft

we need a pair of full backs and have done for many a season

fair play to Walsh who imo at fault for the 3rd kept it sensible scoreline but he’s not good enough

there has to be a cm that can run forwards with a ball or at least pass forwards, I’d be surprised when he drives home it’s not in reverse

as for js this season too many drubbings no plan b yeah forget injuries some games it’s smacked of being over run in midfield and not reacted to it if he want to go home fair enough if he wants to stop sort the total shambles performances out

At least a few weeks now of bugger all and then the World Cup in ego maniac land

Opening quarter of an hour was an absolute disgrace. You can imagine the Ipswich team talk.... these melts are legendary for kicking-off whilst still half asleep, they do it most weeks and invariably concede early doors if you get after them. Let's go at them right from the whistle and we can put the game to bed within 10 minutes...

Christ knows what our team talk was, presume it was something like..... guys, none of us want to be here - go out there and pee about for a bit and in a couple of hours we can all clear off and play some golf...

Ultimately, I'm kinda glad the last 6 games have been shite cos it means JS doesn't get a meaningless artificial boost to his season. A month ago we beat Watford and had 6 games left and the potential to hit 74pts. That would have actually put us in the playoffs tonight but we didn't win a single one of those matches and have been a shambles throughout.

Next season cannot be allowed to be this useless - we have to demand more.

Season summed up by Sam Field going to Norwich because he couldn't get into CM ahead of the development of Morgan and Varanne. Both were very inconsistent, and Field would have provided experience desperately needed.

Young player development is more of a priority than promotion and that cost us points.

Players have been drilled that they need to avoid relegation. Well done lads you achieved the target set to you by the club!!! Why wasnt the target to get to 6th place and anything less is unacceptable?

Low bar target set, or no belief in the squad that avoiding relegation should be a given and set a stretching target

Can't argue with the gist of that BUT... Sammy had been out of sorts and under-performing for at least 12 months. Maybe he had an attacking instinct that jarred with the sideways approach of Marti and JS but, whatever the reason, he was not delivering on the pitch. His January move was necessary and inevitable in the current regime.

If JS decides to clear off this Summer I wonder if that would open the door to a return for Sammy?

Really poor end to the season , both Burrell and kone out why not play the kid that got a hat trick at Dulwich....we never competed in many games , gave a away the ball to often and had no heart .
JS has to go, he never knew his best 11 all season and he never learned from his mistakes.

There will be 8 wannabee clubs vying to fill the top 8 positions at least, squeezing the no-hopers further down the table. Too many clubs, some of whom we were expected to beat have too easily given us a shellacking. Psychologically we don't seem to be set up properly before kick off. We are physically bullied by too many sides. We get our excuses in before bowing out of cup games. Too many clubs now have the blueprints in fromt of them of how to beat QPR. Show some fight and a will to win and you've beaten us.

I know I bang that drum about sales and bringing down the losses to an acceptable level.....too much I suspect. But we've been an average side this season, but we do seem to have some players that other clubs want, but I too fear that you can only take off the cream so many times and continue as you were from putting your hand in the bargain bucket again and again.

Burrell and Kone have been great signings, but if they both went are there L1 players out there to replace them? I just have a feeling that our summer signings wont be up to those leaving. We need to limit the shop window thing and bring in some mature players to even things up a bit.

I hope Im proved wrong, but our current crop of in-house young talent are not ready to step up and be counted and be first choice. I hope Im very wrong, but after messing up a weak division just gone, I fear our luck may be about to desert us. But let's see how the summer window progresses.
