I was against Dembele starting, very glad he had a good game.

Why was he good? Didn't watch it.

What a lovely result, particularly against todays opponents!

He wasnt greedy and did a lot of work tracking back. We played fast-moving fluid "pass and move" football and Dembele was an intrinsic part of it.

You'd be forgiven for assuming he'd be a fly in the ointment in such an approach by dint of his holding the ball too long or running down blind alleys but there was none of that whatsoever - he was very much a team player and contributed a lot.

Maybe being under pressure for his starting spot from Smyth and Poku is bringing out the best in him?
