Thought lots of encouraging signs. Not perfect and Charlton hardly great themselves and at one stage looked like game was going their way. However was good having a senior left back. We started quickly which is rare and got a goal. After they did take control of game some good subs by manager which turned the game back our way.
All goals great. First one we did something we so rarely do. Vale got wide, looked up, dangerous ball into box, great dummy by Kone and Smyth coming in at speed. That is how a team set up like we are should play yet we so rarely do. Want to see lot more of it.
Second goal just great from Koki. He got better and better as last season went on and could be a big season for him. Has got used to physicality of league and has great ability.
Last goal lovely flick from Burrell and nice finish from Kone. Very early days but for the first time in a long time looks like we have a real striker.
Despite some players missing and some newly in lots of promise. We have pace, good on the ball and more depth. Potential definitely there. Whether we will use it and see it through who knows at this stage.
Special mention for Esquerdinha. For second and third goals won the ball and got it forward. Having RND takes some pressure off him and hopefully we can see him develop into a good player over the next year or two.

Burrell is basic to say the least fox so not buying him as an improvement to what we've got. Poor man's Jamie MackieOriginally posted by FurtiveFox View PostThought lots of encouraging signs. Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Too early to say. Didn't cost an awful lot, has pace and puts himself about. Going to be a long season and no doubt he will get opportunities to show what he can do and should improve too. Someone with pace who isn't afraid to get stuck in can be very useful. If that is worst case scenario can live with that.Originally posted by WeAreQPR12 View Post

He is similar to Lloyd but better in my opinion. Yes he does'nt have the best first touch but he works his socks off and has pace. He will create a lot of goals for us this season just by his work rate and hassaling of the defenders. I personally see him as a good impact sub and decent cover for any injuries.Originally posted by WeAreQPR12 View Post

Mackie was'nt the best but worked his nuts off for QPR and did'nt have a bad career for limited ability.

Burrell is a worker and adds pace but little quality. Madsen is work shy and a passenger when it gets tough. Mbengue looks a liability IMO. Very lucky to stay on the pitch after flattening Kelman whilst already on a yellow. I thought our counter attacking was quality as we didn’t have Chair to slow it down to walking pace. More positives than negatives and thought Vale looked decent.
