Thought I would post this as its got a bit gloomy on here and I wanted to share a positive story.
Unfortunately this week I have had to have major knee surgery which has left me unable to walk without crutches for a few months and unable to bend my leg for 3-4 weeks.
I had already bought tickets for Villa before i knew about the surgery so was worried that I wouldn't be able to go. When I phoned the box office to see if i could get an aisle ticket or one at the front so i could sit down, I got through to Ticket master who helpfully told me it was sold out, they couldng do anything and That i couldn't go.
However I tried phoning Villa and was put through to a lovely lady called Shiela who is the disabled liaison officer. She was really helpful and said that even though QPR had sold out they still had a disabled space in the section which even though it is officially A Villa seat, I could have. She also arranged to have a wheelchair held for me at the club so I could sit comfortably.
Finally Shiela also phoned the QPR liaison officer Jade and explained the situation and they kindly offered to give me a full refund on the original tickets and sell me the disabled tickets which comes with a free carer spot.
I just wanted to share that and say thank you to both QPR and Aston Villa liaison officers for all their help otherwise I certainly would not have been able to make the game. It also shows there are good people at the club which are willing to help but the corporate side (ie ticketmaster) sometimes prevents this!
