7hrs 20 mins after my post. Fair play to Beard, he hired someone overnight just because I said he should. Excellent customer service right there.Comment

I take your point, but when you have gone through every avenue and still no one addresses it and the fact that our club build up all their work with the community, but still in successive seasons you have well over a thousand kids who live on our doorstep being let down by a promise made by our club, then I think it's important that the CEO is made aware. Had the players turned up as promised I would never have had to go down the route of dealing with Beard and the rest of them at QPR.I find it odd that the CEO ends up dealing with all these minor complaints personally. I don't really know how most football clubs are set up, but I can't imagine the CEO of many major organisations being this approachable.
Wouldn't you likely get a better response if you raised issues like these directly with the media team, or whoever it is that organises school visits?
Not a dig, I just don't think most fans realise that the CEO - especially our CEO - has been brought in to do the big deals on players, training ground, stadium, sponsorship etc etc. Not deal with complaints about relatively minor stuff. I don't imagine people complaining about waiting times at the o2 got many replies out of him either.
Obviously club-fan relations are very important, and they need to improve. But I suppose my main criticism of Beard is that he hasn't brought in someone to act as the main contact for these matters (correct me if I'm wrong) rather than him handling them himself, and inevitably not getting back to every single person.
Like I said a while back. They only big up their annual visit to the school behind the away end every Xmas because QPR want to use their playground as a car park for the players every home game. Not exactly immersing yourself in the wider community!First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.Comment
