    Wigan...

... beating Everton 3-0 in the cup semi at Goodison. Could be good for us as they may well get very distracted by a cup semi and chance of final, most likely defeat and dissapointment, which could mean their league form suffers and they get relegated..... similar to Middlesborough in 96, Birmingham the other year etc....

    It's been hilarious so far.

Fantastic finish for the third too.

Not seen them as listening on Talksport, but Wigan must be the most inconsistent team around. At times can be ruthless and look the business and others look equally inept.

        Let's hope we get inept.

No, it is not good for us, how can it be good for us, they're going to get high on confidence and start believing in themselves again.

Didnt they spank a team a few weeks back and then go back to losing ways?...

Oh yes i forgot, whatever you say goes.... What did winning the league cup do for birmingham when at the time relatively comfortable in the league.... oh yes their confidence soared and they went on to gain countless points, or Middlesbrough in the other example i gave who got to both cup finals in 96, lost both and got relegated.

The point was losing at Wembley could have a devestating effect on the players' morale and impact their league form. Also the fact they normally survivie by a whisker but with an unfamiliar distraction for them in the latter stages of the season this year, it could throw them.
