Being a stubborn 11 year old opted not to go to grammar school as I was advised to by my teachers and headteacher, went to the local public school with my pals instead and turned out just fine - wouldn't swap it for any private education. Know a few that went, have come out with an IQ on paper of 150-odd but got fark all people skills, can't have a bubble and thus can't get a bird or a job. Having half a brain and being a bit street savvy knowing how to get along with people will get ya pretty far in life IMHO.

Matty, Public School IS private....you know, Eton, Harrow, Westminster etc etc etc.....all Public Schools mate.
Public in this context is not for "the public"....it means a private education.
Only in the US does public school, mean schools for the public....the opposite here..................confused yet!

Ahh fark it - whatever those $hit ones for us bog standard folk are - yea, I went to one of them.

Point is, I'm succeeding in life far more than the individuals I know that went to "public" schools. Not that that's always the case at all of course, just find that a majority of people that come out of those schools these days can't interact too well in the everyday world - outside their high fluting circles they're like lost puppies
