The same patter has played out all over our squad over the past 18 months.

The question shouldn't be: are Remy and Samba good players? (of course they are, concerns over motivation and fitness aside)

Rather, we should be asking whether the overall strategy of signing increasingly expensive players is the right one for us.
Which is a very valid point and a good post.

My comment was simply in reply to Marshy's incorrect example of accusing Arry of being a hypocrite.

What happens when a guy on a massive salary stops working hard? I don't think we have 'hard work'/'stay in form' clauses in any of our contracts.

“There are a lot of players at this club who earn far too much money; far too much money for their ability and what they give to the club."

“I’ve not bought any players who have underperformed,” he said. “If they perform like they can, then I’ve got no problems.”

Oh but Harry definitely is a hypocrite. Nothing too bad about that in and of itself though - he's very good at playing the media and giving them what they want, to the point that no one will ever call him out over his constant 180 degree turns.

It's football, not the UN, and I don't mind Arry talking a bit of nonsense to ensure we keep getting a friendly ride from teh media. But let's not pretend he really is some sort of oracle of truth
