Quaz can i just ask what you base any of your opinions on? What gives you reason to rate Gary Hooper but not Jon Stead? People are allowed opinions and I never stated that they werent (so dont assume i did), what i did say however is that it's a wonder any player would want to join us considering they effectively are written off before they even join the ####### club.

Is Jon stead any worse than Agyemang or Helguson?

Last season he spent his time at Sheff Utd who's fans ALL rate him and wanted the club to sign him. Even Ipswich fans pretty much all like him and are gutted he's being sold. On that basis alone im not going to write him off. Based on what i've actually seen of him myself, he'll be a good edition and is a far better option than Marcus Bent and what we currentley have.

i base my opinions on seeing a player....as stated in another thread i have watch Gary Hooper since his days at Grays Athletic mate....so know what he is capable of.....i agree its all about opinions....and as i stated elsewhere we cannot all like the same players all the time.
If a player brings improvement to the team the fair enough that is a good thing,as long as its not another player who wants a long contract and high wages...we have too many already and cannot get rid.

So a 1 in 4 strike rate.

But that flatters him as alot of those were at the begining of his career with Huddersfield.

Over the years his strike rate drops dramatically.

Don't look like the answer to our goal scoring problems.

Yeah mate.

Guess the stats never tell the whole story.Look at players like David Nugent.Can't buy a goal in the Prem but was great in the Champ.
