For me I would say no!
Ok maybe players like Dawson and samba are out of our reach but I have noticed players like Rolando being spoken about highly but to me it seems like allot of money from yet another huge risk.
We need to be looking at players that have proven their worth in the premier league.
I have been away watching football from other countries and the style of football is so different, i'd go as far to say it's like a different game. We are obsessed with positioning but in other countries they give them far more freedom and that includes defenders. Also it's not been a scouting mission before any smart comments but it is a major factor and clearly why some players find the premier league tough.
Rolando might prove out to be the dogs nads however do we need to take that risk being in such a dire position? I think we we're unlucky with diakite because he has the ability but not to head to play here. Mbia is a very basic player that has made to look average at best. I know many fans like him but he hasn't excited me. Diakite's performances last season were miles ahead of mbia.
