If only it were so simple. The fans asking fernandes to spend will be the same ones spitting in his face if we get relegated telling him he gambled the house and made us a Portsmouth. Also, even if he stumps up the money WBA have made it pretty clear they aren't going to sell Olssen. Graham turned us down even before he was famous and has two or three other clubs much better placed in for him. Livermore depends on Spurs and whether they are able to buy someone else. Its all ifs and buts and a lot of it is out of our hands.

Krancjar is a much better player than any you mention... and certainly proven in the prem and international level. Can't believe people want kranjcar! He'll be an absolute liability for a relegation dog fight.
I like Mackie but for that price it would be good business.
I think we need to suck it up this window and pay over inflated prices for proven premier league players.
Moaning over an extra few million in our position is silly with the huge financial package next season.
Danny Simpson and Jonus Olsson would cost around £9-10 million and they would be perfect.
Livermore on loan and Odemwingie for £3.5 million.
Kenwynne Jones and Danny Graham for £9 million.
Around £22 million spent for 6 proven premier league performers would be excellent business.
Why do we need Danny Simpson???
Livermore, barely played in the prem so hardly proven and would be a gamble imo
Jones, been mostly overlooked for about 3 years, and anything but clinical. Needs loads of chances per goal which is probably why he's been overlooked.Comment

Why would we spend on Jones and Graham when we would already have Odemwingie, Remy and Zamora? I'd take Livermore and Olsson, but I think there's higher priorities than Simpson at right back. Can't believe people want kranjcar! He'll be an absolute liability for a relegation dog fight.

£3 million for Mackie?? Where is he going and i will drive him myself.
Think Harry has realised we need wins. To win games we need to have the ball and more importantly create and score goals when we do have it. This is where our Jamie falls short ability wise as he provides nothing of an attacking threat. Sure his defensive work against the big teams has its value, but bar Man City on tuesday we are coming into a big run of games where we need wins. The wide players have to provide chances and an attacking threat. I still have not seen Mackie beat a defender and cross the ball this season. Yesterday highlighted that the more he has the ball the worse he performs as he does nothing with it apart from running into a defender or losing it.
Impact sub at best but if we get £3million for him then bye bye Mackie.Comment

£3m
If we manage to get a million for DJ, the pair of them going might leave enough for Odemwinge and Krancjar. Great business if we can pull it off imho.

mate, I think you established last night that you are a Park fan. And I defended you from one or two very unpleasant posts. But this thread is, as you will see from the title, about Mackie, not Park.Comment

Totally agree Stain, going through this thread and for some reason Mr Madara is banging on about Park when the conversation is a totally different topic.Comment
