Only way to look at today's results IMO

Great point off spurs and still 5 off safety after everyone else played. Pity about reading comeback but we are no worse off at ft in all today's games then we were at 1245 although one more game has gone , considering we played spurs and never lost ground shows we can still do it . Wigan at home later in season will be massive !

Adel put in good shift but can't be expected to hold the ball up then look for himself to pass it to.
Mackie ran his #### off today and is an example to all.

I still fancy us to stay up. We actually look a team now with everyone pulling in the same direction and even Derry and Mbia have said that in their interviews.

We would not have picked up the four points we have from Spurs and Chelsea under the old regime.

The key point to me is although we were appalling first 10 to 12 games of the season we some way or the other are still in with a shout.

Need to focus on being hard to beat as we have been against the top 6 as points like today will be worth their weight in gold, nick two or three wins off the mid table sides and without a doubt avoid any defeats to anyone in the bottom 6 as it stands

We will be done- and be done very, very soon- if we don't start scoring goals.... There were no goals in the team that played today. No changes in terms of getting goalscorers in; no chance of staying up. It's that simple.

There was no goals in the team that won 1 nil at Chelsea if you catch my drift. Today and Chelsea we were set up not to concede and to come away with a point and if possible nick all three points, job done in both games. We had chances today but never took them; had we done that we would have been purring like Chelsea

When we come up against teams where we have a realistic chance expect Harry to be more adventuress starting next week against West Ham. Today’s and the Chelsea points are huge and you could argue the five points we have taken off these two sides are five points our rivals will not pick up, it only counts however if we now start picking up points against those outside the top 6.

We don’t have to score three goals like Reading to win games if we keep clean sheets and are tight at the back as one goal does the job, we have looked solid and compact recently and in an odd way would rather be in our position then Readings as if were tight at the back and scrambling goals we will pick up points, they however concede way to many goals and they will be unable to go the rest of the season scoring three or four goals a game just to get a draw/win they will drop way more points then they pick up that way

Nothing changes with the results today. The aim is 17th place, not 18th or 19th. We're still 5 points from safety, and we've got 16 games still to play. A win at West Ham would be massive!!

I can see us nicking it at Wet Spam. We're up for a fight these days, unlike last time we played em and gifted em 3 pts.

We are missing are opportunities on free kicks and corners as Adel cannot clear the wall or first man. Is there not anyone else who can do a better job?

Ale & Granero can both take a decent set piece but no guarentee either will play.

Three goals Boxing Day would have been handy..... As would one against Newcastle, Sunderland, Stoke etc and a extra one against Villa, West Ham, Everton etc. Chelsea away tactics were for Chelsea away. They worked today because we haven't a squad good enough to compete against the likes of Spurs. Such tactics cannot work every week. We can't go on creating two or so chances a game. And not taking them. No goals = no chance.

We took four very hard fought point against two of the best in the Premier. We did not concede a goal as well. That's the same amount of points we took under MH in 13 games!! Not bad is it? As for tactics, I think it will be a big mistake if we open up because its a lesser team. Ok, we need wins. But if we can frustrate Chelsea and Spurs, we can more then frustrate lesser teams. We have to play with the same determination, being cautious at the back and sharp on the counter attack. DJ will play a big part here. This tactics suit us best.

Having replied to this post earlier bemoaning our failure to score goals I have to say, West Acton, I agree with every word of this. We are so much better at the back under Harry. We were great today defensively.
