Dont forget as well that by the time NW got the money to spend from TF most of his targets lined up in the summer had gone elsewhere.

Also, a lot of turmoil occurs with new owners coming in and certain agents make it difficult and new chains of communication have to be put in place.
A big barrier to NW's transfer dealings also remained in place at the club at this time --- no prizes for guessing who that was but if you need clues think pasta, grease and paperwork nightmares.

NW is my hero and always will be.
The last two months of his reign have been deleted from my memory banks.

      So there
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Id sooner spend £4m on Graham than "risk" double that on somebody like Austin or Rhodes tbh.

          So there
I had a lot of respect for the job NW did but I have a hard time understanding how he can field/buy Diouf after what he had done to Mackie. NW even called him a sewer rat at the time.......and his decision to buy him at leeds I utterly disgust!

I think we have quite a good chance of getting Danny Graham from Swans if the rumours about him being unsettled are correct. He's a London boy, was supposed to sign for QPR but due to T & C it fell trough..

4 millions? Well, he's 27, scores goals no matter the division and will still get better. Of course, he's isn't one of the top strikers in the division but they wouldn't (as we know) play with their heart, just for the check and we're fed up with those at this little club. I'd be very happy with Danny G, with some luck he could turn out to be someone who is almost a local hero!

It really looks good in my book when adding it all together..

Yea he's from Gateshead. Latest paper talk (although it may well be just that) is Sunderland leading the chase for him:

Although he was born in the NE, he's been down South in recent years so may have more relevant recent ties here than up there, making us a preferred choice.

True. How long was he at Watford?
