WEALTHY Championship side QPR could be set to make a move for free agent Michael Mifsud.

The Maltese international has been without a club since his contract with Coventry City FC expired in the summer.

Mifsud, who spent part of last season on loan at Barnsley, recently said he was weighing up various offers from a number of clubs - but he would not be returning to play in his native Malta.

And QPR fans site LoftforWords claims that the pacy striker is one of the targets for Hoops' boss Jim Magilton as he attempts to beef up his forward line.
