Matty, no wonder. Mackie is our most controversial player together with Taarabt and Cisse.

Yep the discussions and split on views on em is crazy. The Green / Cesar debate is getting up there n all - polar views on em. Should have stickys on each of these subjects IMO as it aint half boring having the same thing discussed on 20 different threads each week.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Can't remember Mackie having a decent game.

Yes he tries, which given the state of our club is proving to be the only attribute needed to get into the team.

Don't worry Matty - whoever turns up in the window will not attain the standards demanded by most on here and will soon steal the show in the daily dig out threads. Can't wait to read about how DJC just isn't good enough being bashed out of all those key boards that have spent so long bashing out the words "why aint dj in the team, he's so much better than what we have" :pleasantsuprise:

Wouldnt mind Mackie and DJ given a chance as a two upfront, Harry has the chance in the cup game nothing to lose.

It's so important players that are play & they give effort. Cisse couldn't give a farm while players like Nelsen, Hill, Derry, Mackie all kept going till the end. It's about pride
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

Not really a debate on his ability surely. He is useless.

I know he runs a lot and works hard. Zzzzzz But when was his last good game for the club? He contributes nothing.

According to soccerbase Jamie Mackie has scored 18 goals in 60 appearances for us (48 apps. as a starter, 12 as sub). That works out to 0.3 goals per match, which is not bad for a striker (and he often plays in midfield) and is pretty good when you consider everything else he contributes to the team (unlike Cisse, for example).

This season two goals in 16 PL appearances. Clinical.
