We need Julio Cesar back in goal

Funny. No one was moaning about green in our 4 games unbeaten. One mistake and boom, he needs to be dropped. Beggars belief.

Blinkers there mate. And not just 1 mistake....

Sunderland away - half game did well.
Villa home - imo at fault for the goal as he got 2 hands on the ball and didnt get it around the post. Summary he should've gone with just his left hand and by default easily saved it as his reach would be greater with one hand.
Wigan away - did fine
Fulham home - Absolute farce created by his initial bad pass to a defender with player up his ar53, then flapped the clearance when given it back, straight to Rodelaga who should've scored when Green fell on his ar53.
Newcastle away - did ok
West Brom home - Regardless of any nudge, he got in a ridiculous position behind the goal line and i don't think he'd have saved it even without the nudge as tried to push over the bar, not punch. He screwed up massively here.

I'd say there's a lot more than 1 mistake there, add to that he always looks edgy when any ball played to him and distribution poor most of the time. His kick straight to Foster on Wednesday summed it up for me.

I'd also say there's a clear pattern with his mistakes, ie they all come at home... maybe he feels more pressure in front of our fans and for some reason it's is affecting his performances and costing up points.

Opinions buddy you clearly thought he made a decent effort but in my book if you get two hands to the ball you need to be tipping it around the post. Take Villa goal out the loop we still have Swansea, Fulham and arguably WBA some are saying he was at fault for first goal on sat too

You said Green is better then Ceser so in what areas does he excel over Ceser?? I would possibly say he catches the ball more but struggling with anything else

Does make me laugh,the amount of people who were coming on here earlier this season slating cesar for conceding goals which were in fact deflections very close to him in which he no chance of saving and now your back on greens case for making a blunder when he was actually fouled. Do your homework and look back at all the games that both keepers have played in and see how many times they have saved us from getting a drubbing..............then look at how many chances we have missed to get points but for bad finishing.

For the extra salary we spent on Green I dont think he was a major improvement on Paddy were probably 30k a week less in the pocket for a keeper whose ability is not that much better.

He was an easy option as he was free and we wanted to replace Kenny. Personally I would have gone for Robinson or Al Habsi

good point actually who the defence are comfortable with should play a part.

A punch on saturday would have gone down a treat.........
