We always seem to lose 1-0 in scrappy games and cannot hold on till the end. We need to learn from Stoke how to kill the game off when we do not perform!

I am not sure I would call yesterday's match a scrappy game as the players are not putting in a hard shift and scraping for survival. I would call yesterday's performance as lacklustre against another poor team. -
Clearly you didn't go to the game, the players gave their all yesterday but just didn't have the quality to hurt Newcastle. Doubt there are many occasions when Newcastle dont score at home so was always going to need to score but didn't have the quality to do so, no lack of effort.Comment
