They will be the best side we've played for nearly 2 months. Our squad cannot deal with premiership football. Hopefully we'll only lose by 1 or 2 and the belief can live on for another game.

Well not the same 3 games - we did win agains wigan in january but if you want to compare to the exact same matches how do you think we will fare at home to Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool?? Surely 9 points under HR right ;-) ??Originally posted by CroydonCaptainJack View PostThose same three fixtures last year we got one point compared to three under HR

Just because Fulham are "a better side" than some we've failed to beat of late does not mean we will lose. I love the way some fans make such bold statements as fact as if the outcome of foorball matches is an exact science.... it isn't!
As for others saying the games against the likes of Reading, Southampton, Villa, Sunderland, Wigan were easy, well i beg to differ. Any club in that situation is fighting for their lives and especially agaisnt those around them as they are perceived "6 pointers" and games the sides "can't afford to lose" etc..... These games are not easy and sides play with different pressure and nervousness due to the mustn't lose mentality. The outcome (not result) is often a scrappy match with neither side really expressing themselves particularly well and often a draw.
When these sides play teams mid table or lower top half there is less pressure and often they can just express themselves without the "Mustn't lose tag". Add to that the the fact the higher placed side sometimes think they just have to turn up to get a win and often things turn out completely differently.
Let's just wait and see, but we have a local derby when form goes out the window regardless and then Newcastle, who are having a shocking run..... Keep the faith people, there's a massively long way to go in footballing terms yet.

Some good valid points made, sooner or later everything has got to go right for us in a match instead of what has been happening, hopefully it's Saturday because we're getting too far adrift!Originally posted by Del View PostJust because Fulham are "a better side" than some we've failed to beat of late does not mean we will lose. Bradford and Arsanal match last night is an example of what is possible with a positive mind set, we always seem to play better against sides that we are uspposed to get trounced by (ie man city at home last year or even chelscum this year).Originally posted by Del View PostJust because Fulham are "a better side" than some we've failed to beat of late does not mean we will lose.
