to be fair to Hughes we spent cash but he didnt have bundles needed to splash out on a near top draw goal machine.Then as we only just stayed up not many ambitious players would want to come to us .So all in all he did the best with what he had and knew.Not defending him at all.Harry on the other hands has diff contacts,is a prooven wheeler dealer so brings a diff set of cutlary to the table.

i see what you're saying mate but we dont have to spend loads on a goal machine, look at michu for swansea this season, he's proved to be a gem and they only spent a couple of mill on him.

fact is Leigh he still only started the season with 3 striker from a squad of 25, 4 if you include mackie, not good enough and something that deserved to get him the sack on it's own.

to be honest, i thought hughes would have. he's brought several gems to the premier league ie dembele, kompany, zabaleta and the like. also he brought us diakite and mbia, would have been nice if he could have got us a couple of gems up top rather than concentrating on the midfield.

well then Ginge,that says more about how much he had to play with then IMO.He spent what he had on players {old} he knew would come.

Hughes bought older players by the yard and was turning them into the worst team in EPL history.
Harry bought older players at Spurs to mould a top 4 side.

I think it is all down to the player tbh. How many of the big name signings would you swap just to get Parker or Samba?
Neither are spring chickens or glamour buys but players like that are worth their weight in gold.

either way, now that we've seen what hughes did in the transfer market, and we know what harry can do, i'd be inclined to trust harry to get the players we need.

I'm 29 and that goal was 1 of the most amazing goals I've ever seen still to this day. I thought it was v Liverpool the 1 he cracked on the volley off the crossbar and in. Might be wrong though. I remember trying 2 do it all the time over the park haha. Still Trevor's v barnsleys is me favourite though. Great goal and in the QPR kit so gets top spot for me.
