  • Tal Ben Haim handed QPR trial

Tal Ben Haim could become Harry Redknapp's first signing for QPR after being invited to train with the Barclays Premier League strugglers.
The vastly-experienced Israel defender is due at QPR's training ground on Tuesday, as he bids to secure a fresh start with a new club in the next few weeks.
After reaching a settlement with Portsmouth in August, following a dispute over wages, Ben Haim has been without a club and has not played since Israel's 4-0 World Cup qualifying defeat against Russia in September.

not really but he is a free agent looking for a wage so should fit right in with most of the lumps we got now. Hopefully just a stop-gap till January (if we still in with a chance otherwise why spend?)

Free & in a position we are critically low on. Probably a payp deal or short term till end of the season. Makes sense.

Seriously? Championship would be a stretch for him. I'd like to see us move away from bringing in players who had a half decent season 5 years ago.

When you are facing competition from a Chinese club you have to question the transfer policy of the club! I'd guarantee he would not be on the radar of any other Premiership club.

He's basically Anton Ferdinand in a skull cap.

Hopefully it's only one of those situations where we are letting the bloke train with us to get some fitness to find a club.

Along the lines of what I think of him.
He is another money grabber and I would only offer him ashort term deal with a basic wage of around £7-10k per week with decent win bonuses.
If he is keen on playing at this level he would give it serious consideration.
