Joey is right about speaking scouse to french journalists - every language has its own unique rhythm and resonance and if you cant speak the lingo, mimicking the rhythm but in English is the best way to communicate. The mannerisms come as part of the rhythm. Think our Joey is being clever rather than extracting the urine!

Rubbish. Joey does not have a strong accent at all. How are you qualified to make this statement? I can assure you as someone that is TESOL qualified, has studied phonetics and taught English and Business English overseas that mimicking a foreigner trying to speak your native language badly, does not help, is extremely patronising and has nothing but a negative effect on understanding and learning. Do you honestly think some mannerisms make a foreigner, speaking their own language, easier to understand??? Absurd.

There is nothing clever about Joey, for all his quotes and drivel.
