My first response was to agree with all of the above. Then I remembered the way I spoke a sort of simplified English (and why I did it) when living abroad for a few years and now I'm inclined to think if does him credit:

Joey is right about speaking scouse to french journalists - every language has its own unique rhythm and resonance and if you cant speak the lingo, mimicking the rhythm but in English is the best way to communicate. The mannerisms come as part of the rhythm. Think our Joey is being clever rather than extracting the urine!Comment
