It doesn't matter how much money they earn, they can still have an opinion and use twitter. I would have said exactly what Cisse said on saturday if people had been digging me out like they were to him. He's been crap this season, fair enough, but his goals kept us up last year. Also, he's now our only fit striker so not really the smartest move winding him up.

IMO Granero has been one of our better players this season and is far from a trouble maker.

Relegation would be the worst possible thing for us at the moment.

I keep hearing this "Cisse's goals kept us up last year", I mean a tap in against Stoke that my great nan could have put in, and a header from 4 yards against Liverpool are the only goals that got us anything really. He also got sent off in 2 games costing us 3 pts against Wolves definitely, and 1-3 points against Sunderland away. So he was hardly our big saviour that everybody makes out.

That aside, it gives him no excuse to be as lazy and disnterested as he has been this year. Especially when he is earning amounts that I and most people could only dream of.

Contrary to your point I think winding him up is actually a good thing, because if no-one says anything then he thinks it is acceptable to carry on as he has been

Why put it in inverted commas, it was a 3 yard tap in that anyone that can kick a ball would have scored.
What I am saying is that it should not give him immunity from criticism for not doing the basics that a footballer should do, i.e putting at least 50% effort in. He,along with many others, looks like he couldn't give a to55.

Are you new to football? He's been crap this season yes, but how can anyone play down the magnitude of his goals last year? Tap in's or not, he made space and got himself into a scoring position. Didn't see any of our strikers do it.

I celebrated that goal more than any other at LR since Oldham...more in fact as we were relegated with no time left and then we were not. That goal and Stoke saved us. Not MH. Gary Linekar scored all of his goals like that - was he rubbish?

People are making out that he was some sort of messiah last year. If he hadn't got sent off twice, we wouldn't have even been in the position where he needed to score those "wonder" goals.

Anyway the main point I was trying to make is that a few goals last year don't excuse him from being totally useless this.

all the best strikers score lots of tap ins. look at clive allen. or bannister. think its one of the reasons why cisse hasn't been scoring this season because he is hanging back. how many times does a cross come in and there's no one in the box? thing about taps ins is they might be easy to strike (though anyone who grew up watching tony sealy knows there's no such thing as easy) but you have to be in the right place to tap them in. Cisse was against stoke, and thanks to that we are still (for now at least) in the prem.
