      This is not a SPC attack on QBP but you have to try these things to see if they work. What if Benitez hadn't tried Gerrard upfront with Torres. What if Cappello hadn't recalled Heskey to play alongside Rooney.

      Ephraim playing through the centre is a great find. Playing the diamond was unsuccesful but if this means that Sousa doesn't use the formation again and uses Ephraim through the middle then he has learnt something, which can only help the team in the long run.
