Michael Hann: It took QPR fans a long time to turn against Mark Hughes, but now he could be cast in the role of captain of the Titanic

Shouldn't laugh given the current state of the club, but this did make me laugh, namely as its so true:

"Had Hughes been captain of the Titanic, one suspects he would have told the press: "We need to take the positives from the voyage and concentrate on the icebergs we didn't hit, because for most of the journey we were in no danger of sinking. What this ship needs is stability at the helm, and I'm still confident I can get all the passengers to New York alive."

You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

"Under Hughes QPR have taken 24 points from 30 games. That's 0.8 points per game. Over a 38 game season that would get you about 31 points, making the team relegation certainties. That, Mr Fernandes, is not stability, it's abject failure"
