This just sums up Hughes' incompetence for me. To bring in only Johnson and let 4 Striker's go (admittedly Hulse and Bothroyd were not going to cut it) leaving us with only 3 strikers in the squad. You need at least 5. What was the point of a squad place for Ephraim, he is not going to get a look in this year.

Macke proved again that he is useless, and I aint saying Cisse is the answer but playing him and Mackie will get us nowhere. I have no doubt that if MH is still here next weekend he will drop Faurlin for Derry and he will play Mackie but those two are not the answer....they are s..t. Having heart and running like headless chickens does not win games, skill and ability does.

I would like to see Mbia back (if fit and available) for Ferdinand, Ehmer/Harriman in for Bosingwa, Tarbs off Cisse with Hoilett and SWP on winhs. Midfield of Diakite and Dyer.
