    where it all went wrong.

    my view.

summer transfer window, while we were signing every midfielder in the world hughes clearly forgot that we needed a defence until the 5 0 thrashing against swansea.

then it was a last week rush to get what he could and we ended up with a makeshift defender in mbia and a couple of wingbacks.

to me, this was the error that he made and it looks to have cost him his job.

feel sorry for him but incompetence does not get you very far in life let alone in football.

building from the back is as basic as it gets and hughes has failed.

Agree. we cd have done without half of those signings if we had signed a Dawson or a Samba. Without that there was always going to be a gaping hole in the team where the heart should have been.

Agree, TF must share some of the blame for pushing the signing of the once good player park which he clearly is not anymore for the sake of making some money in asia.

would not be surprised if he negotiated with hughes that park be made captin and all revenue gained from the park industry hughes would get a share.

      just a thought.

Poor judgement by Mark Hughes on his signings. Every Tom, **** and Jude knew where are weaknesses were. What in the hell was Hughes looking at.

Agree Hitman, this goes backk to our summer signings and in particular signing the wrong types of players! Granero might be skilled but he's not up to the English game so he was clearly an expensive gamble, Hoiltett is just a money grabbing opportunist and Park has looked awful, if any of these guys were good their clubs would not have parted with them!
