Austin Austin he's our man if he can't do it no one can

    Swap for DJ

    That is all

  • #2
I mentioned him on here the other day as it goes. The lads got 20 in 17 games now this season, amazing record. Hardly had an media attention (yet!). Only 23 years old n all. Cant imagine a straight swap with DJ would be something they would accept - in todays market they would probably demand about £7mill for him!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Very good player, but no chance of a straight swap with DJ.

      Zamora however.................

would be a great singing, but i cannot recall Hughes ever looking to the lower leagues in England for talent which is a real shame, I reckon Warnock would have pulled out a few rabbits like this by now

We've been linked with him before, under Warnock I think.

He had a really slow start at Burnley, maybe because the step up. He maybe banging them in an all but this is the Premier League, if he has a slow start then it's a massive risk IMO
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

The Pope of Port Vale is also scoring a lot this season?:=):

I have never seen him play, though.

I think that |I along with others suggested Austin as a signing back in his days with Swindon. QPR may have been linked with him, but if they were, thery were not prepared to meet the asking price which somehow Burnley could.

                      Deja vu.

this was exactly the comments that were made last time we were linked with him. ''not good enough for the championship'' If I remember correctly I said so too, but he has now proved himself in the championship - what says he wont be able to take another step?

Nothing, every signing is a risk but we're in risk of not being I the PL if we don't get things right
