Yes its so easy to be cynical on such matters and no, of course players will never openly criticise the manager, but that is certainly not to say that they can never be trusted to give their true opinions on matters as they see things. Taarabt and Granero always come across as articulate, intelligent and very much their own men in all their interviews. Based on these along with Mackie's and Nelson's interviews I would say absolutely no way has Hughes lost the dressing room, very much the contrary.

Without wanting to open up a whole can of worms and the whole Hughes stay / go debate again, but if the players are all openly backing the manager then surely us fans should be to? Hearing what these players have to say seems they are very much behind Sparkie and he has certainly not lost the dressing room at all.

Some people don't want to listen to it, they would rather listen to someone down the pub telling them all other things like "MH has two games left", he should have been gone by now if he lost at Reading.

I think the players are genuine. I don't remember too many players saying anything about Warnock before he was sacked.

I could see us picking up a win against Stoke and then losing to Southampton, just don't see this team under Hughes putting any kind of run together that will get us out of the relegation zone.
