    Rio

Before his fallout with ferguson last week, it was rumoured that he would only be given a 1 year contract when his expires in the summer.
Once you fall out with ferguson ya time is up.

Worth a cheeky £1-£2 million bid in Jan Window ?

More realistic than Samba or Shawcross.
Theres nothing to say we would get Samba, and if he was available Arsenal would be sniffing around as well I would think.
Shawcross will move on to someone bigger if left Stoke.
Dawson didnt want to join us, would rather sit on Spurs Bench.

Realistically we could get Rio, and is another leader that we could do with in the team.

Seem to remember that Nelsen wasnt exactly welcomed with open arms.
I think Rio would be great for us, I can see him leaving Mancs in Jan as well.
Would rather get Rio on the cheap and add some backbone in the defence, and spend the £9million we bid for Dawson on a Goalscorer.

There's no chance Rio will leave in Jan. How would it benefit Man Utd exactly....? £1-£2m means nothing to them. It would be better for them to keep him and progress a round in the Champions league.

To replace him with a quality replacement would cost £15m plus, and most good options will be cup tied in Europe... It won't happen. Even Fergie won't cut his nose off to spite his face. If he leaves it would be in the summer, but i don't think for a second he will. They've publically made up and i think that's because Fergie's realised what he said in the interview was out of order and is trying to get everything back to normal asap so it gets forgotten. He has no right to insist people wear slogans for any campaign, especially when they have their reasons for what they did, in their eyes, for the greater good.

              Rio for the short-term.
              Samba for the longer term.
