Tony wants the Korean fans because of his airline, i am sure he will want us to sign more Korean players in jan and next summer because he wants the Koreans advertising his airline. It is possible i may be being paranoid, but with a manager who's job is on the ropes come January, do you think he will be strong enough to say to TF "I don't want to sign any of these Korean players that you keep recommending, and i'm dropping Park as he is toilet."

I don't think MH is the type of manager to hang around if his team selections are over-ruled; I'm sure TF makes suggestions, but I would be very suprised if MH doesn't get the final say on all footballing matters.

agree mate..Park was signed to sell shirts and promote TF's airline. He should never have been made Captain and tbh i cant see how he gets in the team every week either. Publicity stunt written all over it.

I guess there is no way of knowing for certain until MH releases his biography; personally, I can';t see Sparky agreeing to that, but like everyone else, there really is no way of knowing for certain. When I heard Park was considering a move here, I was very excited as I always thought that his expereince with Manure would help us out.

Welcome to the forum, I like seeing Korean/Global fans taking an interest in QPR.

As for Park, it's not his fault he was made captain, we've got a poor manager who didn't make a footballing choice. Apperently Mark Hughes is the 9th best paid manager in the world, not sure how true it is but it's something you wouldn't rule out. I can't see QPR moving forward under Hughes, all his sides can do is defend....... and we're not even doing that right now. Mark Hughes OBE - Out before Easter (Paddy Kenny's tweet, made me laugh)

Utter rubbish. He was a good Utd player so should be good for us. He isn't the Asian Beckham , Beckham is. His England shirt was the fastest selling shirt in the world during the Japan world cup..influenced by sales in the tiny minority of Asian countries that sell real shirts.

Park is popular in Korea, not Asia, he isn't even the national darling there anymore either and have you seen his boat - he is the Asian Ian Dowie if anything.

95% of football merchandise in Asia is fake , so lets see what we make from shirt sales - it will be nothing on TV revenue and being shown more on TV in Asia makes us...guess what...NOTHING as the overseas deal is structured differently to the UK one.

And as for the 5k Korean fans....well they would be making every game a sell out if they were not in your imagination. That isn't happening every game and won't do.

Football is about winning games first and foremost and there is no way TF would have said he wants 3 of the new signings to be Asian.

I know Park has out lived his Man Utd peak - hence my points. IIRC he doesn't even play in the national side anymore, but may be wrong there.

However, Park was part of some big successes at Utd.
